In this talk, Nick Powers, Ph.D. explores the current moment—America is in upheaval. Protests thunder in the streets. What role do psychedelics have in this historical moment? Examining the idea of Healing Play through personal vignettes from Burning Man, excerpts from theater, and literature we can re-position entheogens in the larger progressive movement. How do the different cultures of the creative underground/festival circuit interact or clash with the activist world? How can they amplify each other?
